Coachella Beauty Essentials

Music festival season is here once again. As we pack up our fringe clothes and floral crowns, you can’t forget to bring along some beauty essentials to the desert. Coachella is a time for simple makeup that can withstand long days of fun, music and sun. Here are some items that I will be packing along with me for my trip to Indio.

SPF

Sunscreen is VITAL to take with you. If you haven’t been before, you need to expect to be in the sun all day long and you need to prep your skin. Josie Maran’s Argan Daily Moisturizer has SPF 47 and is the perfect base before applying your makeup. This formula is hydrating, fast-absorbing, non-greasy, Argan Oil-infused daily moisturizer featuring all natural sunscreens and green tea. This also goes for your lips, I prefer a tinted chapstick like Sugar Lip Treatment.

BB Cream

No need for foundation out here, keep your makeup minimal by using my FAVORITE bb cream from Tarte. It is tinted and has an extra bonus of SPF and has the creamiest, silkiest texture you will ever apply. It gives my skin some coverage without being too heavy with a nice dewy finish.

Waterproof Mascara

Waterproof mascara is a must in the hot weather. You don’t want to see dark circles of mascara dripping under your eyes, try Urban Decay or keep Sephora’s Targeted Eye Remover in your bag to clean up any eye makeup messes during the day. These are also great for cleaning up edges of a bold lip. (these are a lifesaver)

Multi-Purpose Products

You want to pack the least amount of products as possible, so bring items that have many uses. Guerlain’s 4 Seasons Bronzer can be used to contour, as a color for your crease in a simple eye makeup look and as a bronzer.

Take It Off

At the end of the day between sun, dust and sweat you will feel like your face needs a good cleaning. A mask is a great way to extract all the gunk from your skin before doing it all over on day 2 and 3. Fresh’s Rose Face Mask is cooling to soothe your skin after spending too much time having sun.

SEPHORA COLLECTION

If you are heading to Coachella Weekend 1 or 2, you can stock up on all the beauty essentials when you get there and I might even see you! You have to stop by the Sephora Collection Beauty Patio that will have a DIY Beauty Bar, Fiber Mask fire pit lounge, live plant life installation perfect for Instagram and you can relax in some shade (and air conditioning WOOHOO) in their massive tent located next to the Mojave Stage.

You can stop by the Sephora Collection and it is free for all festival ticket holders and open during both weekends, April 10-12 and April 17-19. I can’t wait to stop by to get some metallic temporary tattoos and some face and body art perfect for festival season they will even be doing Coachella inspired hair with their pro team, hello braids!

When you are all done being pampered and ready to get back to the music, share your picture to earn a surprise gift at the SEPHORA COLLECTION Instagram Vending Machine by tagging @Sephora #SephoraCoachella. You could even step up your followers and be a insta-star because a few lucky guests will even win the chance to have their look re-grammed by Sephora during the festival to its 2.3 million followers. For those who aren’t able to attend, follow Sephora’s social reporters on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook to see live posts and trending beauty looks.

This post is in collaboration with Sephora, but as always all thoughts, opinions and reviews are my own.

  1. Urban decay’s waterproof mascara worked but didn’t last long. I’ve been using this primer and mascara in one from measurabledifference.com , It’s really a win win for me because its a primer, mascara, and lengthens my eyelashes all in one product.

  2. What application did you use to make this post with all the little pictures and numbers. I just started my blog and it will be launching this week! I would love to network with you. Melyssa from Nectar collective designed mine as well!

  3. I have one more question for you! When setting your featured image at the top how do I get the picture to focus on a certain point on the picture. For example my end is cut off?
