You may notice in my pictures, I hardly wear dresses. Why spend money on one thing when you can buy separates to mix and match! So when I got this Rails plaid shirt (which is literally the softest fabric you may ever feel) I paired it two ways. One way was with denim which is an obvious daytime option.
But for the evening, you can easily transition this skirt by throwing on a leather pencil skirt. Wearing casual plaid with luxe leather gives the shirt that special umph you need to wear it out at night … and you can even unbutton it a little lower and pair it with a lacy bra if you want to feel extra sexy.
