Juices, smoothies and cleanses. We’ve all heard about them but whats the best, what do they taste like and what are they actually supposed to do?

Well, I’ve tried just about every one you could think of and by far Pressed Juicery ( click here to check them out and to order ) is my favorite.

I wanted to share with you my 3 day experience, what to do before and after and what kind of benefits you get from this. I even have a discount code you can use for the next week if you want to try it out too.

Before you start, there are 3 cleanses to choose from and you can do them for 1, 3 or 5 days. I have always done 3 days. 1 really wouldn’t do much for me and 5 may be too hard for me to not eat for that long.

But if you are going to do this for a few days, what are the benefits? I think the biggest misconception is that this is some sort of miracle weight loss plan. Yes you may lose weight from it, but that isn’t the point of this nor has it ever been the reason I have done one.

Think of all the bad foods you eat, caffeine you drink, alcohol you consume. You need to rid it from your body. This causes breakouts, bad skin, etc. So, that is why I do juice cleanses. Eating 3 meals a day, every day, is hard on your digestive system. Only drinking liquids, that have all the nutrients you need, is giving your digestive system a break to sort of “reset”. It detoxes your body of all that mess and then after, you can eat clean and healthy.

Benefits

  • A regulated, nourished colon
  • Increased energy and stamina
  • Increased mental clarity
  • Better sleep patterns
  • Radiant complexion, healthy hair and nails

So you’ve got the benefits down. It is time to choose a cleanse. Cleanse 1 is for first time juicers, cleanse 2 is what I did and will go into more in depth and cleanse 3 is for those looking for maximum benefits and has the lowest calories.

Now that you have chosen a cleanse , it is really important to do the right things to prep and follow up your cleanse to really get the benefits. I think people sometimes jump into it and it makes it hard not eating. Or stuff their faces the day after and they get sick.

The full explanation you can find is here and I would recommend reading their full instructions on what to do before, during and after a cleanse. Do not skip this part!!!!!

Now it is time to juice. I’ve got a video diary to share with you on how I felt each day, what the juices tasted like and if I would recommend it. (Also don’t forget to subscribe to my youtube page)

My recommendation would be DO IT! It is better than other juice cleanses I have done, the juices taste better, it is easy to follow, delivery was a breeze and you can really get lots of benefits from it. This review was super long but if you are spending money to invest in your health, it is good to know as much as possible.

INSTAGRAM QUESTIONS ASKED:

Q: How do you prep for the cleanse?

A: There is a link above in this post to tell you how to prep for it as well as what to do after.

Q: How do you stay full? Can you eat any solids?

A: Honestly, you are drinking something all day long so you are pretty full. I only felt hungry in the mornings because I hadn’t had anything since the night before. But I did miss chewing on something. On day 1 I cheated and had some hummus. Day 2 i had some cucumber. In the instructions that come with it, it tells you what you can have it included apple slices, low sodium vegetable broth and I think cucumber.

Q: I want to do a 24 hour cleanse, what do you suggest for great results?

A: I would try a 3 day cleanse instead, I think this gives you more benefits than just 1.

Q: Does it clean all the bad stuff out of your system and does it help you lose weight?

A: Yes it detoxes your body, a result may be weight loss but that is not its sole purpose. But it does prep your body to eat clean after the cleanse to jump start a healthy diet.

  1. Was just wondering what your opinion on it with the lack of protein with cleanses? I just worry about my metabolism plummeting while cleansing and having to kind of start back at ground zero afterwards. Thanks!

  2. I have tried cleanses from health food stores and I really love that I do not feel bloated at the end of the cleanse so they give me a great start to healthy eating and exercising. But I am looking for something more natural like juice cleansing. Would you say this cleanse helps with bloating?
