Longchamp Le Pliage

I’m a sucker for anything custom, the more unique and personalized something is … the more I love it. So when I had the chance to fly to San Francisco to design this bag for myself, I was so excited! You may have seen my Instagram posts a few weeks ago visiting the Longchamp store in SF and while in town, I customized this leather Le Pliage bag.

It started with a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco where I go to see Longchamp’s incredible store. I wanted to buy one of everything. The experience was so fun from start to finish, picking out the different sizes of bags, colors of leather and even the detail of the strap. After picking my signature tan color, I wanted a pop of orange and finished it off with my initials on the side of the bag. This color combination is simple and elegant with a touch of contemporary.

When making your own custom bag, the colors are endless and this makes for a thoughtful Holiday gift, especially for those hard to buy for people! This is such a classic and iconic bag (after all, the Le Pliage is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary!) and it is definitely an investment piece that can be worn from day, to travel and more.

I picked the larger size because during the day I carry so much with me and it fits enough to use as a carry on for my upcoming travels! What do you think of my design? I think it turned out perfect! You can design one for yourself too, play around online or in Longchamp stores and make one exactly to fit your style!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR LE PLIAGE® CUIR HANDBAG UNIQUE

1. Choose the size of your bag (small, medium or large).

2. Choose the main color (eight colors available).

3. Choose the color of the flap/handle, the tabs and the shoulder strap (all three can be different from the color of bag).

4. Choose the lining (5 colors available).

5. Finish, if you wish, by adding your initials in perforations or embossed.
