So, I started a blog.

BLOG! Blog blog blog. There seems to be a sea of bloggers. Everywhere I go someone is trying to start a new blog and 1. I am overwhelmed 2. I think to myself whyyyy! 3. How is this one different than the rest?!

Because of all of these reasons, I have been really hesitant to start one. My friends who have successful sites started them years ago before it saturated the internet and those are the ones who have truly turned this into a full time job and money$$maker.

I didn’t ever want to be just another blogger but at the same time, I have wanted to share more in depth with you everything from beauty, style, living, eating and of course my random thoughts.

y post so much in an Instagram caption or a tweet – so here I can post more photos, videos and write more in depth – also a place where if you have a question I more than likely will (eventually) have a post for it.

I’ve named this site La La Mer because of a few reasons. I live in (the most amazing city of) Los Angeles. I often refer to this crazy place as LaLa land. Mer well that is my nick name, short for Marianna (some people call me Mer some call me Mar). Los Angeles + Marianna.

Alsooo, la mer was the first big expensive beauty product I ever saved up for. Growing up, I would look in People or US Weekly and see celebrities raving about La Mer face cream. I would go try it at department stores and it smelled wonderful!!! It was sooo luxe I had to have it and eventually I saved up my money – but WOMP WOMP IT WAS NOT A MIRACLE CREAM! It was just expensive, smelled amazing but it did nothing for my face ha. But I always loved the name and voila here is my blog. But that one time I saved up to get this must have product started me on this journey of being a product junkie which turned into a full time career as a tv host so – lalala c’est la vie.

Soooo, welcome! I’m learning about blogging as I go, because well … I’m not a blogger! But eventually I will get the hang of this thing and I cannot wait to share with you my favorite products, what I just bought, what I’m eating and where my life takes me.
